Topic: Is it possible to use ffdshow on DXVA mode?

I noticed SVP only detects video only if 'normal' ffdshow fires up. Is it possible to work with ffdshow on DXVA mode? (I could also use  LAV on that mode but I guess that might be harder).

Re: Is it possible to use ffdshow on DXVA mode?

no, LAV

+"ffdshow raw filter"
is the only and recommended solution

Ah, I didn't know that was possible.

Man, the DirectShow 'world' is really a mess of tons of different packs:D

thanks.

Ah wait, I had loaded a video with LAV, and SVP does not detect it.

edit: Yep, it still doesn't detect video with LAV as a filter.

edit: Ah wait, I guess 'raw' is a special filter I need.

OK got it, Raw + LAV.

Jeez, as I said, the 'Directshow' world is a mountain of 'packs':O

Thanks for a great product! I really appreciate it! 60FPS live is better than any other effect! wink

well, SVP installation should make it tuned right for MPC-HC player

the main rule for SVP is quite simple - add "ffdshow raw filter" to the processing chain and it'll work wink

Re: Is it possible to use ffdshow on DXVA mode?

Yeah it sounds like the best solution, it bypasses all needs for a [particular] decoder.

I guess it also doesn't have a big extra overhead when using the raw filter. At least here it seems the same.
