Re: A lot of problems when using SVP for potplayer (watching anime)

So the first method 1. framedoubling (frame interpolating) to 48 fps and then frameblending to 60 fps. is the one you explained before?
Yes. Framedoubling + frameblending can be implemented by two ways: via SVP only and with blending in madVR.

using either of these method will result in artifactless?
Yes.

frame interpolating to 60 fps, how do you do that?
it is default frame interpolation way.
Target frame rate: To screen refresh rate (default).
24 * (5:2) = 60.

And how do you achieve smoothness and sharpness?
Sorry. I can't understand what you want to know? Theory from start to end? It is impossible in one forum post.

I'm still confused on the two methods you have explained as well as three effects
Read again. smile
Try it on your video. You will see the difference.

You will be surprised these two are not all methods wink
Third one is use interpolation only without blending but turn display to multiply framerate: 48 Hz or 72 Hz.

Okay, I got the artifactless. I've tried it and I can see the results immediately.

What I mean by "achieve smoothness and sharpness", I mean how do I set up correctly for these?

Smoothness. Best without blending.
1. frameblending adds dissolve of frames and in fact you see 48 fps video at 60 Hz screen.
2. each frame has its movements. So, it looks more smooth.
Sharpness. Best without blending.
1. frameblending adds dissolve of frames. Only slow motions look good but fast motions has double contours.
2. each object in each frame has its position. So, it looks more sharp.

Third one is use interpolation only without blending but turn display to multiply framerate: 48 Hz or 72 Hz.
How do I set up this third method?

how do I set up correctly for these?
Interpolation and blending. Two settings in the Profile setting window: Target frame rate. Blend frames to screen refresh rate.
1. Double source frame rate, enabled
2. To screen refresh rate, disabled

How do I set up this third method?
3. Source multiplied by 3, disabled (or the same as 2)
But switch your monitor to 72 Hz mode.

Thank you and sorry for the late reply.

So in other words, I need to setup like this? This will achieve the smoothness and sharpness?

I said either smoothness or sharpness. One of two. Only one available at once.

Thank you it worked.
