OK very odd, now it doesn't work and I'm getting player freezes.  I SWEAR it worked the first day after I installed 359.00, maybe different file type I dunno.  This is so frustratingly annoyingly fucken stupid.

Installing CUDA did nothing for me, still wouldn't work with GPU acceleration, however I just upgraded to the 359.00 drivers with a clean install and updated SVP4 and it seems to be working now.

Yea I normally don't rush into it but I was bored and decided to see how well the upgrade would do (I've never done an upgrade, always fresh installs) but to my surprise it worked well and all my stuff worked besides SVP. I'll survive without it for a while although I do miss it big_smile.   I am surprised that I wasn't able to get the svp 4 working at all either, anybody else try it yet?

I followed what you did to fix it but no luck for me.  mpc-hc video freezes on the first frame while the audio keeps playing

I tried the first set of nvidia drivers that came out for Win10 and had no luck, upgraded to 355.60 and still no luck.  I've tried everything mentioned here and I can't get svp to work without freezing/crashing on Win10.

I even tried the new svp 4 test version and that didn't work either.

SVPTube seeking had been working great for a long time, now all of a sudden it has to buffer every time I skip ahead in a video and wait for minutes before it'll play.  It hadn't been doing this for me at all, it would skip right away and play from wherever I chose.

Did something change in the past week or so?  I installed sopcast last week so I'm wondering if that changed some buffering settings or something.  I can't find any options related to buffering though.

So I was having issues getting SVP to notice svptube videos at all, either said "player is in a paused state" or "waiting for ffdshow video".

I just set SVPmgr.exe to run as administrator and now it's activating with svptube.  Hope this helps somebody else big_smile

Having the same issue, glad I found this thread.  My player doesn't crash but it just never does anything and after closing out with the X, it stays open in the background and I have to end task on it to play any video afterwards.

It loads up fine on 360p, but on 480p I'm not even seeing any bandwidth activity.  Once I disabled the ffdshow as instructed, 480p video loads (does take a while to play but it loads and I can see my bandwidth being used right away).

So I re-enabled the ffdshow and loaded the same thing from svptube,  SVP said "waiting for ffdshow video" at first and didn't think it was working but then it kicked in about 30 seconds or so into the video and it's working now.

Don't know if this is a coincidence but I guess try disabling the ffdshow filter, playing through svp tube, then re-enabling ffdshow and restarting MPC-HC. big_smile

I'm having a similar issue, I've completely uninstalled/reinstalled the full svp package but same problems.

A.  Same problem as OP, except only when playing through SVPTube (.mp4 files that I have work just fine).  I'm pretty sure when mouse-overing the svp icon it would say "Waiting for ffdshow video" before, after reinstalling it just says "The player is in pause state" (while video is playing).

B.  SVP doesn't work on my other monitor while in fullscreen, works fine in windowed mode, the OSD display that shows the fps shows up normally, but I can tell it's not actually running at that fps.  As soon as I window it, it looks normal.  The only thing I can think of that's different in my system that it used to be is that I'm using displayport output for my 144hz display when I used to use DVI for both.

P.S. I have a fast system, one of my monitors is 144hz and plays smoothly at that FPS, my second monitor with the issue is 60hz so it's not just that it can't display the fps in fullscreen or anything like that.  I checked the things mentioned on this page and confirmed they are setup as mentioned, as well as in the FAQ.  Also tried manually selecting the monitor in SVP.

Entire player keeps freezing when I try to skip ahead, and it's not just cuz it's downloading.  I have to keep closing MPC-HC and starting where it left off and slowly seeking forward.  I can't just let it buffer to wherever I'm going to cuz the player freezes and it never starts again.  If there is some log file or something I can find to help identify the issue please let me know.

I'll look into this but I don't think it's possible.
Right now the only parameter I see in "videoplayback" is "range" (from-to) value but it's expressed in bytes not in seconds.

(stream URL is http://blah-blah-blah.youtube.com/videoplayback?<parameters>)

Thanks for the info.  Maybe it would still be somewhat useful if there was a way of manually inputting a # for bytes to skip with some guess-work.

Is there any way you can make SVP tube support loading youtube "copy video at current time" links? ( &feature=player_detailpage&t=9 ) would be 9 seconds in..

I'm (trying to) use SVP to watch boxing videos from youtube, and generally there is 10 minutes or so of prefight stuff at the beginning that I'd like to skip, but seeking just to 4 minutes in is taking over 5 minutes to buffer and I eventually give up and just watch it on youtube.

Adding a way to seek to spots within the player without it buffering the entire video up to that point would be great, or at least if it supported the t=seconds command on the links so that I could find the spot I need and paste it into svptube.

Thank you for your hard work, SVP as a whole has changed my video watching experience and allows me to take advantage of my 144hz monitor, but also makes it that much more frustrating to have to watch youtube at 30FPS, especially the ones encoded in even lower framerates.
