turn off subtitle options in ffdshow.

I did, same result, when I turn off subtitles in ffdshow, then when I choose subtitle: English, nothing appears now. I switched toe rendering from EVER 9 to madVR, no subtitles still. I don't even know what to use as the renderer anymore to have madVR + LAV + subtitles

this is all very confusing to me sad

I tried the same movie with VLC Media Player and the subtitles load perfectly

I am using LAV + ffdshow raw video filter + LAV Splitter

I have auto load subtitles set to on

at first, the subtitles load very big, too big that most of the sides is cut off

I don't know how to decrease the size

and now MPC-HC crashes the moment I set the subtitles to English:

Was just wondering, why does SVP Full install the Haali Media Splitter instead of using the LAV Splitter?

133

(2 replies, posted in Using SVP)

alright bro, you're right. thanks

(2 replies, posted in Using SVP)

What is the release date of the next SVP? It has been more than 4 months and there are so many updates to LAV, madVR, MPC-HC, etc.

I don't like installing the core as I had better experience when I install the Full SVP as it knows what to install and with what settings best

Oh I dont care about ReClock and PowerDVD but my question is how does it benefit me in SVP and if it is really needed?

139

(12 replies, posted in Using SVP)

When I was trying to play a movie using PowerDVD, if ReClock was enabled the audio sounded messed up and choppy...

I never had a problem with MPC-HC and ReClock but now come to think of it, how is ReClock helping me?

Do I need it or no need? for smooth video playback?

I am about to format my laptop and was wondering the next time I install SVP, is it better to use the lite version then install the updated LAV, madVR, ffdshow, or better to stick to the older versions bundled with SVP?

142

(4 replies, posted in Using SVP)

well I have 100s of videos how do I know which is 25 FPS by default and which is 20 FPS?

I\ll play around more with the settings today and see what I can do sad

I thought the GeForce GTX 770M can make you breakfast in the morning by itself and play any video at super high FPS sad

UpdateL if I change my refresh rate for my 3D Screen from 120 Hz. to 60 Hz. the stuttering goes away and SVP is smooth like before.

But I think my system specifications can handle 120 FPS right or wrong?

Shall I just stay @ 60 FPS instead of 120 FPS or is there something that can be done?

144

(4 replies, posted in Using SVP)

I got a new more powerful laptop but now my videos stutter most of the time. It will play fine for a few seconds then the stuttering starts badly.

I ensured to add the SVP profiles folder under my username to the exceptions of my antivirus (Norton Antivirus 2013)

I ensured no other running applications in the background

I am using LAV Filters 0.58 with CUDA and Enable Hardware/GPU Deinterlacing enabled

I am using madVR 0.86.7

I am using LAV Splitter with no Haali installed as I never need those splitters anyway

I am using FFDShow MPEG-4 Video Decoder 2013-06-12_clsid

I did the suggested settings in this thread but it didn't help at all

I found the problem, I had to disable the Enable Stereoscopic 3D function in the nVIDIA Control Panel

strange though... I have so much RAM

147

(5 replies, posted in Using SVP)

I noticed even if I shut down SVP completely I get the same Out of Memory message hmm

148

(5 replies, posted in Using SVP)

This just started, the problem wasn't there yesterday

When I go into full screen, I see an "Out of memory" message on the screen

I have 24 GB RAM and nothing running other than SVP

I have disabled the page file (virtual memory) since I have 24 GB of RAM but even when turning it back on and setting it to a fixed size of 1024 MB Max / Min I get the same results

Which is better in terms of performance? to install SVP Full which includes everything or to only install the lite version and get updated versions of LAV, madVR, ffdshow, etc ?
