but the 13th SVP Shader = Standard is the default so it is already selected

But that will definitely defeat the purpose of watching using SVP big_smile

Why is that? So there is no solution for this?

I notice that when an object is moving to fast, around it, seems like a fuzzy image, I don't know how to explain it but it's not sharp and clear when it is still and not moving.....

Hi, is there an update coming? SVP hasn't been updated in almost 1 year

Which is better LAV Splitter or Haali Splitter?

Chainik

But in my Alienware 18 laptop, you cannot have both, once I select the Radeon the system reboots and the switch is permenant until I switch to the Intel GPU again so there is no way it would use the Intel GPU as it isn't there really since I'm booted with the Radeon M290X Crossfire...

so basically, there seems to be no way to make usre of hardware acceleration in MPC-HC if SVP only supports DXVA Copy Back sad

I hope a future update will change this as not everyone has an nVIDIA GPU
I would love if SVP can make use of AMD Radeon's AVIVO technology

ah ok, and would DXVA Copy Back use the Radeon GPU or the CPU?

hmm, is this guide good?

http://archive.benchmarkreviews.com/ind … mitstart=3

does that mean to install LAV and use DXVA?

But use Native or Copyback?

I used to use LAV / CUVID to make use of my GeForce 770GTX

Now that I got a Dual Radeon M9 290X Crossfire, what codec / setting do I need to use to make use of the Radeon's GPU acceleration? DXVA only uses CPU acceleration I believe

With my Splash Player, it has something called AVIVO GPU Acceleration for the Radeon

please help

I have Zoom Player Max not the free version

I'll try that 4Gb Patch. Thank you sir

I bought Zoom Player Max

Firstly, the ffshow filters that are automatically installed with Zoom Player are not recognized by SVP, thus, I had to manually install FFDshow (latest version) again otherwise SVP wouldn't install.

I also had to install AVISYNTH separately

Secondly, I chose madVR as my Video Renderer and LAV as the Video Decoder. but in order for SVP work properly, I had to go into each extention separtely and add FFDShowrawvideofilter otherwise SVP wouldn't work, that took a very long time since there are over 20 extensions

Now i've setup the player to my liking and it works with SVP with amazing quality, but *some* videos after playback for a few seconds the player just crashes with a  error and I got this:

"Runtime Error!

Program: C:\Program Files (x86)\Zoom Player\zplayer.exe

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information."

Can you please help me with this? This also happened to me when I used PotPlayer, it happens only on certain videos not all

Do note that I also like to use LAV for everything since I have an nVIDIA GeForce GTX770M (Dual SLI) so LAV uses CUDA for hardware acceleration.

Thank you in advance for your help

To make SVP work, we need to install many separate things like ffdshow, avisynth, LAV, madVR, etc.

I just came across Splash Player and bought a license, I like the fact that it works out of the box and plays movies @ 60 FPS, the only thing is that it doesn't support FLV or F4V but it has features like sharpening, lighting improvement, etc.

Now this made me think and I hope there would be a PAID version of SVP which is an all in one player (sort of like VLC) but with 60 FPS playback out of the box.

Splash Player is dead and development has stopped since 2 years so this could be a great opportunity for SVP to improve and bring in something new to the martket that isn't available yet! there are simply no other 60 FPS players other than SVP at the moment.

I thought ffdshow development has stopped.

I just noticed this if anyone wants to grab it:

I heard that ffdshow has been discontinued and I've seen no updates since Feb 2014. So what will SVP use in the future? anything else or it will just stick to the old ffdshow?

nope, didn't fix the issue, still getting occasional drop to 30 FPS, I have no idea what's going on

can you please post a link to SVP 3.1.5 core only not full

I still have random bug in 3.1.6 that makes my FPS @ 30 FPS only and I cannot resolve it no matter what I tried. Never had that issue with 3.1.5 so please post a link if possible

Microsoft Security Essentials / Windows defender was removed about 6 months ago from AV Comparative test as they failed any kind of certification since they are the worst AV in the world.

If you want to see how bad they score, look at AV Test:

http://www.av-test.org/en/home/

Click on Home, then scroll to the end, and see how bad MSE is, you would rather have no AV than to use that crap. The first thing I do when I install Windows is to uninstall that useless AV via the Windows Defender uninstaller so it would be totally removed from my system along with its service and icon in Control Panel. The uninstaller only works on Windows 7:

https://www.raymond.cc/blog/download/did/1984/

And the time I wasted fixing this issue was not bad, it's just because SVP wasn't known to Emsisoft, and now that it is, I never have this issue again. It was not detected as a virus by Emsisoft's virus signatures since they also use the Bitdefender Engine which doesn't mark SVP as a Virus, but rather, it was blocked by Emsisfot's Behavioral Blocker which makes sense since it was trying to do things that are not normal, like connecting to the internet and code injection into MPC-HC, since that is how SVP works, but this is also a method which can be used by trojans/viruses (code injection) so, it had to be whitelisted

I think I found out the problem

In my laptop, I have dual nVIDIA Geforce GTX 770M, so I selected the 2nd one thinking it would be better because let the first one do all the image drawing and OS tasks, and let the 2nd free one do the SVP work. When I changed it back to the first GPU, the speed went back to 59/60 FPS

Very strange I would have thought that using the 2nd GPU which is free would be better.

I wish SVP can make use of SLI configurations like mine where you have to similar GPUs working at the same time to give even better performance

no even after the reboot, 30 mins have passed, it's playing @ 60 FPS this time. this issue is random, but happens ALOT that I need to report it:

strange, the videos sometimes play @ 30 FPS and sometimes @ 60 FPS after a reboot and waiting for a while, the issue is random. Same settings always  hmm
