I tried moving the slider all the way to Performance and it did run better but still choppy and unplayable :-/

Hello everyone - I was hoping someone could help me...

Playing 10-bit movies via SVP using MPV lags a lot - like it's running 1FPS. I can see my CPU is at peak 90-100% usage. I have a 8700K (6C/12T) and a GTX 1080Ti.
SVP is running with the self-optimized settings - only changed "allow_10bit" to "true" to make 10-bit output possible.
I'd love to make 10-bit work with interpolation from SVP because the difference between 8-bit and 10-bit is night and day, and so is 24FPS vs 100FPS... tongue

So... Is my hardware just too weak or is there a trick to make it work?

Thank you :-)

Edit: I should say that playing 10-bit movies via MPV without SVP/interpolation works perfectly - just runs at native FPS, fx 24FPS

dlr5668, thank you so much!

4K HDR@100FPS works perfectly with MPV.

Hello everyone!

I was hoping someone could help me, as I'm having a problem playing 4K HDR via VLC using SVP.

Playing 4K HDR in itself is possible and "works" fine, yes can't do more than 72FPS because it's VLC but I'm fine with that, problem is I get a lag spike every 1-2 seconds, probably every 1 second.
It's not a huge continuing spikes, just a single "chop"/spike, then smooth again - 1-2 sec later, "chop"/spike.

It's really annoying and I'd love to get this fixed, so I was hoping some of you guys can help me figure out what causes it.

I can run everything else fine via MPC-HC wiht 100FPS (have a 100Hz monitor) but with 4K HDR the colors and contrast are broken - with VLC colors and contrast are beautiful.

My specs: i7-8700K, GTX 1080Ti, 16GB 3200MHz

Good weekend to all, and thanks to for SVP team for such an awesome software. 25$ is a steal for what you get IMO <3
