I tired both those things and it they didn't work but i figured it out, for some reason if kodi has been started up at all since the computer has been booted it wont apply and you have to do it as admin on a fresh boot smile thanks for the help though.

Whenever i try to apply the 4GB patch to Kodi it gives me an error "Can't open executable". Does anyone know how to fix ? I cant find any fix on google so i thought i would try here (I'm also a brand new to SVP so could be missing something very simple)
