Is this setup possible?

So. It was PCI-E x1 mode?

2x. It has a setting for 4x but the main port is 16x.

Not sure what this screenshots means.

I mostly use mpv. I tried EVR-CP in MPC-HC and I still have problems.
I don't think I have any video enhancement features enabled in my video card.
I use 120Hz, no gsync. I tried setting it so it only doubles the frames in the video
but I still have this problem.

Edit: I solved this issue. My graphics card was in the wrong PCI-Express port.

Thanks, will do that next time instead of reinstalling.

I get very low performance in regular h264 files in both mpc-hc and mpv. h264 10-bit and hevc seem fine. I have hardware acceleration turned on.

i5 2500k @ 4.2GHz, GTX 970, Windows 10 (1709), latest SVP Pro.

My SVP index never seems to exceed over 0.7 in 1080p videos and my CPU usage seems to cap at around 60% (screenshot 1). In 480p videos my SVP index goes to around 1.3-1.5 (screenshot 2).

How can I reset all settings? ie. A completely clean installation of SVP 4 Pro?

I think the latest SVP update crashed it

I just saw this. What benefits does this provide over MPC-HC for SVP?

Well if you would check their website out it would list its features and improvements. It's also very easy to setup and you don't need to deal with stuff like MadVR because similar types of filters are available in the program itself. Unfortunately it doesn't play well with HorribleSubs encodes (with SVP enabled) because they don't know how to properly encode files.

The Greenlight is closed.
And even if SVP will be accepted as a "video production content-creation software from select developer", I really doubt it will be easy to distribute all those "avisynth", "ffdshow", "python" and "vapoursynth" packages via Steam hmm

I think it's possible to sell and distribute software with open source licences through Steam, as long as you follow the licence. I know that Civ 4 uses Python for scipting. Alternatively, the software which is distributed through Steam would just be the manager and the updating and distribution process would be similar. This is assuming that something like the Greenlight makes a comeback or SVP gets accepted as "video production content-creation software from select developer".

I couldn't get the auto-profile script to work. So I just changed the extension of HorribleSubs files to .hs and appended this to my config.

[extension.hs]
fps=23.976
no-correct-pts
sub-delay=0.166

hwdec=d3d11va-copy

log-file="C:\tmp\mpv.log"
video-sync=display-resample
video-sync-max-video-change=10
hr-seek-framedrop=no

This will run smooth because the entire vo= line will be ignored, as for almost a year now the vo= settings are not separated by colons anymore.

Basically: vo=opengl-hq:backend=dxinterop:scale=ewa_lanczossharp:cscale=ewa_lanczossoft:interpolation:tscale=mitchell:tscale-clamp:temporal-dither
none of these are actually on.

So that line only says that it will run in opengl? FWIW these are my settings. Did I mess up? https://pastebin.com/gRQbTVLr

Try commenting out my subtitle settings?

I've never tried streaming with SVP. I think my mpv config settings are for pretty high end machines and the settings you've used previously are for average PCs? I don't know why your SVP index is that high though. Maybe reinstall SVP?

Open source =/= free. Paid, copyrighted products with public source code does exist.

GPL is not gonna happen (as that DOES imply a free program), but posting at least part of the code under a license like this:

https://github.com/Regalis11/Barotrauma … r/EULA.txt

Could work. That being said, the devs have more incentive to keep it closed, I believe, and open sourcing it would require some work.

Those definitely exist. But the questions still stands. SVP adds more features to some media players. It's not like Red Hat where they can offer enterprise support of their OS to corporate. Someone would fork it and a lot less people would pay for it.

It seems to be impossible to properly play HorribleSubs files with mpc-qt together with SVP. Why can't they just encode their files properly?

I'm glad that I've bought SVP 4 Pro but is there any chance of mpv based players (with mpc-hc's development slowly halting) to be ever be included in the free version of the software?

Thanks! I thought it was a built in function (similar to madvr's stats).

Looks promising but still incomplete

Hey, how did you get those stats on the video with mpv?

looks fine to me

analyse.main.levels            = 3;
analyse.main.search.distance        = -8;
analyse.refine[0]            = {search:{distance:-6}};
analyse.refine[1]            = {search:{distance:-4}};

How did you get that status information on SVP?

Anime definitely exists in 720p or higher.
