Have you guys seen this new method to interpolate anime?

https://github.com/lisiyao21/AnimeInbet

Heres a video about it: https://youtu.be/iUF-LsqFKpI?si=9FViAZUyFdSfZzS5

It's crazy good. Almost perfect.
Can't wait for it to come to SVP smile

Weird. It stopped crashing. Everything fine now. But I did nothing..

Select decrease size to 720p.
Then open All settings and find setting frc.frame.resize
You will see value -12800720. You can enter your value. Format is -wwwwhhhh, where wwww - width, hhhh - heigth in pixels.

Awesome. That works smile

You can adjust it manually the same way. Find and change value of setting rife_sc of profile RIFE AI engine.

Well, adjusting it isnt the issue.
It's how the algorithm works. However it works, it's simply bad.
The normal SVP scene change detection works much better, and I'd love a similar one in RIFE. smile

If it's not possible to implement the same scene change detection algorithm of the normal SVP in RIFE,
Then a good start would be to also add the "Processing of scene changes" option to choose between "Repeat frame" and "Blend adjacent frames" into RIFE.
This way, we could use normal blending to still get some smoothness when it detects false scene changes if we set the scene change treshold lower.
And with real scene changes, its way better than when RIFE interpolates it.

I started using RIFE.
And If I want to do more than 2x, I would need to use the Alter frame size feature to Decrease the resolution from 1080p.
But I feel like decreasing to 720p is overkill.

I'd like to have more options between 1080p and 720p.
Or a % slider to choose a resolution would be even better.

Another thing is, the current RIFE Scene change detection is really bad.
If I want it to be smooth all the time, I need it at 15%.
But then the scene changes are really bad.

Is there any possiblity of implementing the scene change detection the normal SVP uses?
I find that one quite good.
Also the option to blend adjacent frames on scene changes would be nice to have on RIFE as well, since it would help with smoothness when it detects false scene changes.

Thank you.

When my SVP is set to use TensorRT, all videos crash when opened.

If SVP is set to use anything else, like ncnn/Vulkan or anything. The video opens and plays fine with SVP working.
Then if I change to TensorRT while the video is playing, it starts working fine, or it can also crash mpv.

Im on a RTX 4060 Ti 16Gb.
Using mpv.

This is the error I get in Event Viewer:

So simple, yet so hard. Maybe add this example to the tooltip smile
Thz so much.

Hello,

I can't figure out the syntax on the file name contains field.

How do I set an OR statement in this field?

I want:

For example:
If file name contains: "x" or "y" or "h"

How do I do this? whats the correct syntax?

MPC-HC or MPC-BE both crash with same error when trying to play a video stream, any video stream..

Here is an example video stream I was trying to play:

https://redirector.googlevideo.com/videoplayback?requiressl=yes&id=0984730f93219cd5&itag=22&source=picasa&cmo=secure_transport=yes&ip=0.0.0.0&ipbits=0&expire=1435522957&sparams=requiressl,id,itag,source,ip,ipbits,expire&signature=C3C71CB3BC948E19C15126DE409571007BBA927D.8F84018BC73B5C243EF3E11D193C9DA39CE05278&key=lh1

But it happens with all video streams. Not just this one.

And here is the crash dump:

From what I can tell, its a problem with "ffdshow raw video filter". And it only crashes when trying to play the video. If I left it paused, it will continue buffering, but if I try to play the video, it will crash instantly.

I changed from ffdshow raw video filter to ffdshow video decoder, and it work fine..

Is there any difference in using ffdshow video decoder?

Or is there any fix for this?
