BTW quick solution to green lights is to crop the video to match the screen (Frame crop -> To screen aspect ratio in SVP Manager)

Cool from my limited testing that does seem to get around the issue
edit: after some further testing, i'm still getting green in XBMC even whilst frame crop is enabled.

and about XBMC... if you're trying to use SVPlight in XBMC you probably have Prismatiks's plugin for XBMC installed
afaik that plugin communicates with Prismatik in the same way SVPlight does - with the Remote API
may be there's some interference here  hmm

Hi, definitely not using Prismatik plugin in XBMC. Their plugin actually isn't compatible with XBMC v13 Gotham anyway.

The only changes to XBMC is using the DSPlayer version which I found out on the svp-team link where it talks about compatible video players.

yeah, I can reproduce it with my test system
so it'll be fixed ASAP wink

Awesome! Good to hear it's not just me!

When I use Prismatik capture engine in SVPLight, it works fine but in XBMC, the LED colours go crazy (they are refreshing very very quickly)

that's interesting
and what if you'll leave only one Lightpack?

Have not tried that yet - but let me elaborate on my symptoms and setup below

I get some of the LED's showing a green color

only "some of LEDs" ? each time random number if LEDs in random order?
did you apply "color correction" option in SVPlight or it's set to defaults?

Depends, it's a little random. Color correction is off - i.e. it's full white as my wall is white.

1. Here is my SVPLight settings. 20 LED's configured - i'll first describe using the 'Lightpack' engine. Color correction is full white - i.e. unchanged

3. Testing with the movie 'Gravity' on MPC-HC

4. Note full black screen yet the side colors are 'green'. Same issue exists on XBMC.

I tried playing another video that was just all black frames, and one of the bottom LED's and one of the top LED's was green.

5. Next issue - I switched the Engine to 'Prismatik'. I now no longer experience the phantom green LED's on black screens, however I get another issue. The LED's go wildly crazy in XBMC flashing at a very fast seizure inducing rate (albeit with the right colors). The issue does not exist when playing back with MPC-HC, only XBMC. Video below showing my problem. XBMC 13 Dsplayer is configured to use ffdshow as video decoder.

Video here showing issue http://youtu.be/iia9EfB9E-M

Current setup is Windows 7 64Bit, Latest SVPLight and SVP installed, XBMC 13 Gotham with Dsplayer installed utilising ffdshow for video and lavsplitter for audio.

Any tips? Let me know if you would like any further information/diagnostics.

Hi,
I am using 2 lightpacks with svplight 0.9.7 with XBMC and DSPlayer/ffdshow all working fine.

When I use Prismatik capture engine in SVPLight, it works fine but in XBMC, the LED colours go crazy (they are refreshing very very quickly).

When I use Lightpack engine, it works fine but on a black screen, I get some of the LED's showing a green color and I'm not sure why. If I change the order to R - G - B, on a black screen the LED's now show a bit of a red color. On a black screen, the LED's should be off and not showing any color at all.

Does anyone know a fix for this?
