from my experience it's exactly opposite, artifacts are less noticeable in 3d

I don't have that much experience of converting 3d movies yet so it may be that the artifacts are actually less noticeable. I have tried different settings to find the best smoothness and least artifacts combination.
I have also found out that some movies have really smooth and nice 3d even in 24fps and some movies (like Hobbit 3D) are really really bad in 24fps and only slightly better in 60 fps. Although it makes Hobbit at least watchable.

Hopefully this is not already answered. At least I couldn't find topic about it.

I'm ripping my 3d movies as full side by side 3d movies, so the resolution is 3840x1080.

I'm then storing the movies to Onedrive and stream them from there with Infuse on AppleTv.
I have Nexigo dlp projector which is limited to 60 Hz and can't be changed.

Everything is working really well but I was wondering if the best way is just to convert the movies from 24fps straight to 60fps or first as 120fps and from there to 60 fps?
Or just convert to 120fps and play it as it is and let the player/Appletv convert it to 60Hz.

How can the 120fps to 60fps conversion be done on SVP? What kind of settings are the best? Could you just drop every other frame?
And how will the players play 120fps video if the output is 60 Hz?

And also, if someone has done 3d movies 24->60 conversions before, what are the settings you have been using? The video needs to be quite artifact free because if there is an artifact on one eye but not on the other, then you will immediatelly notice the difference when watching the movies.
