Thanks for explanation. However, in some movies I feel more comfortable if I watch them in original frame rate. What about in this case, what would be the best settings? I think quality should be preferenced in this case, what do you recommend?

I'm not sure if I completely understood you. So I leave Video Decoder settings changed to LAV (h264 is set to NVIDIA CUVID) and change Source/splitter settings as they are in your tutorial? What difference will that make? This is what I get in this case: http://shrani.si/f/l/gW/4uAxn9PN/svp6.png

Do I have to change anything else?

p.s.: what is the difference between SVP settings you provided to me on "Today 00:53:09" and "29-02-2012 20:24:12"?

I don't know what I pressed, but there is orange vertical line moving from left to right in PotPlayer - do you know what that is? It disappears if I turn off SVP.

Anyway, here are the results: http://shrani.si/f/27/NX/3FUNuUwm/svp5.png

p.s.: if I decide and turn of SVP - should I switch back to built-in PotPlayer filter or does LAV provide better quality?

I just switched Video render from Madshi to Auto selection and applied your new recommended SVP settings. With this setting applied, PotPlayer will choose EVR Custom Present.

Now with LAV filters and CUDA, I think performance is similar to one before (DXVA without CUDA), check it out: http://shrani.si/f/A/dS/3kovHAYB/svp4.png

I tested 275 and 290 (some people had problems with 295)

Avisynth is enabled, I'm using latest PotPlayer version, I get smooth playback text on video screen and also HIGH CPU usage (frame drops quite possible), SVP icon is green, ffdshow video red and mad is brown.

So I only change video render back to Auto selection (recommended)? It is a bit more smooth, but still between 80 and 100 %. Now with your optimized SVP settings, it's much better. Here are the results: http://shrani.si/f/1F/1Z/4ZlOvKd1/svp3.png

Waiting for next instructions and recommendations big_smile
Thanks again!

Hi there, thanks for quick and kind reply. I'm fine smile

I followed your tutorial until I reached Quality section so it's currently configured as normal/performance (without LAV filter etc.)

Notebook specifications:
Intel Core 2 Duo P8400 2.26 GHz
4 GB (2x 2 GB) DDR2, 800 MHz
nVIDIA GeForce 9650M GT, 1 GB VRAM
Realtek soundcard
HDD 320 GB SATA, 5400 rpm/min

SVP is running at default settings:http://shrani.si/f/3r/ea/ywiiT3Y/svp2.png

I just followed your tutorial but I think DXVA is not working anymore because my CPU is on 100  % all the time while playing 720p movie. I have c2d P8400 and GeForce 9650m GT. Did I miss something?

"7- Go to Preferences ( F5 ) > Audio and leave everything by Default" - this is final step, right?

I just installed SVP manager and everything else from full package (madVR, ReClock, etc.). When I tried to play 720p .mkv movie with MPC-HC, SVP kept saying "waiting for ffdshow video" (only ffdshow audio was used during playback), so I added "ffdshow video" into external filter in MPC-HC. But now video is very stuttering, I think graphics card is idle and CPU is on 100 %. Obviously DXVA or CUDA is not working.

How do I force SVP to use DXVA or CUDA? I have core2duo P8400 2.26 GHz and GeForce 9650m GT.

Thanks.
