My Fire TV Gen 2 is my main media box and I want to keep using it. I've been running Kodi there for years, but from what I've read here SVP and Kodi for Android/Fire TV isn't feasible or at least is not supported at the moment. But Kodi isn't the only video player that will run on the FTV, and I was originally excited to learn of SVPlayer for Android. I figured it might not work with the FTV remote, but I could work around that. My plan was to use it standalone to play my local media, instead of Kodi.
But every attempt to install either the google play or the non-google apk (via adblink) failed. Does anyone have any suggestions for me to try to solve this? If not, where might I request the development of SVPlayer for Fire TV?
