Good information, but it doesn't address my greater desire for a better way to exchange like videos among enthusiasts.

It would be helpful of we could share transcoding profiles.
I have downloaded SVP videos, and they are really very good. I have tried to replacate the output quality, but it's a a huge trial and error task with thousands of variables. If I could just Import the authors profile, all would be right with the world.

Extra credit: svp-team.com could host some of the best/specific purpose profiles for users so that we get somewhat consistent results. (The default profile doesn't always cut it.)

But like I said, there are 5 thousand videos, in as many directories. Isn't there a way to point it to a directory tree of video files and just let her run?
Kind of like a commandline that takes a /S command for subdirectories?

I transcoded my test video today, and everything worked well.
Now I want to transcode several thousand video files. Is there a batch mode / commandline to accomplish this?
