Thank you for information.
Sorry. I have not Windows 8. I can not confirm or agree with you.
People who tried it said that SVP works great on Win8.

Re: [SOLVED] Access issue with the latest WINDOWS 8 x64 AND x86 build

I'm using & testing build 8400 x86/x64 with the latest Windows 8 Nvidia drivers , another thing is, it's not working with media player x86 classic latest version and beta,

Maybe it's works  still with the KMplayer, need to test that.

Yes, i'm sure, the 64bit combination with MPC en FFshow crash with VSP and that with all windows versions

I have use the VSP software pack, so I cannot be wrong. I tested in different operation systems, but on win 8 it wil not work. (also with standard windows 8 drivers)
Also when you finaly play the movie, and you want to right click on the icon below in the corner of VSP, it's does notting at all.

Re: [SOLVED] Access issue with the latest WINDOWS 8 x64 AND x86 build

On the moment I have test it wit KMplayer, same results.

I think that the problem is, that windows 8 have stronger security settings of running program's
The register right is also different  to Windows 7

Or because of WDDM 1.2 drivers, maybe the windows 7 drivers works

Re: [SOLVED] Access issue with the latest WINDOWS 8 x64 AND x86 build

Ok, what if run SVP Manager as administrator?

Re: [SOLVED] Access issue with the latest WINDOWS 8 x64 AND x86 build

using WDDM 1.1 driver, does not fix the problem anyway

Re: [SOLVED] Access issue with the latest WINDOWS 8 x64 AND x86 build

May be it just hangs at some point of initialization. Please attach %appdata%\SVP 3.1\Logs\Log.txt file here.

Run as administror for MPC and SVP don't fix it.
Also the security account settings disable will also not fix it.

Re: [SOLVED] Access issue with the latest WINDOWS 8 x64 AND x86 build

Anyway I have manage to run VSP

I activate the administration account, and there works it on.
It's ask to install FFdshow,

The only thing I notic is, that the AviSynth missing in the account that windows 8 has made for me after setup.

I have try to put it manually the script code in the ffdshow control panel in avisynth, however I get a error in FFdshow when I try to activate avisynth in the control panel.

Another thing is, that the settings in avisynth+script are goin when I restart ffdshow

Re: [SOLVED] Access issue with the latest WINDOWS 8 x64 AND x86 build

Today, I found the real problem, is not SVP, or ffshow problem.

it's the file security of windows 8 that working not good.

I needed to manually access C:\Users\(profile name)\AppData\Roaming\SVP 3.1 to get SVP work.

You get in all folders an warning  (you don't currently have permission to access the folder)
When you access the folder, the problem is fixed.

Thank you!
Great! Issue is resolved!

Solution:
Allow access to SVP's AppData folder
