Да, разница есть. На самой заре SVP был такой способ повышения плавности: удвоение + смешивание. Как правило удваивали киношки с 24 к/сек до 48 к/сек, а дальше смешивали до 60 к/сек. При удвоении меньше всего заметны артефакты повышения плавности. Но после смешивания уменьшается резкость, что многим, в том числе и мне не очень по душе. Тем не менее, галка в профиле SVP до сих пор присутствует: "Смешивание кадров до частоты монитора". Это по сути тоже самое, что сейчас smooth motion в madVR, только SVP смешивает силами процессора, а madVR - на видеокарте.

Если SVP до частоты экрана с madvr ,то загрузка 95%
Счас SVP удвоение и в madvr вкл. smooth motion загрузка 70%
Плавность та же что и при первом варианте

В бета-ветке пообсуждали уже немного. Речь идёт о простом смешивании кадров. SVP круче

скоро только у утюгов не будет FRC
по сабжу - уже рассосали что у него фальшивый уплавнитель, не строит кадры а тупо смешивает
